Rhonda SG Yeah! I think if both parties are unequally yoked in the sexual arena, then one will forever be squirming in his / her pants whilst the other would forever be hiding under the blanket, fearing when he / she will next be pounced on! Better to find out sexual compatibility first sometimes. Otherwise, one partner will end up with badly-chewed nails!
stellazio SG very good, u just gave me a good reason to tell my mother that i was actually being responsible and planning for the future when i lose it.
Rhonda SG OK, it's sitella so I don't feel that I've corrupted you at all! Anyways, think about it. If you're a horny toad, and you marry a girl who freaks out over the thought of sexual intercourse, and then gets all uptight and outright refuses to have sexual relations with you after marriage, what's going to happen?
stellazio SG no leh. once in a while for some reason she will ask me this question. then ask whether i smoke la, take drugs la.. basically she's kpo and like to probe into other ppl affairs. but when i tell her tha, she'll tell me she's being concerned and caring towards her son. what to do....
fudgester SG Well, what I think is that prior to marriage (but after getting engaged), both the guy and the girl ought to have 'the talk', in frank and honest terms. It'll be uncomfortable, it'll be embarassing, but at least it would help determine sexual compatibility. That said, while I'm a non-advocate for pre-marital sex, I won't stop others from doing it if that's what they want to do. The only thing I would do is to advise them to be responsible about it and be aware of the potential consequences.
choco B SG I can't imagine any mothers believing or really expecting in their hearts that their sons will stay virgins till marriage. They know what dogs men are - they married their husbands! (above is just my opinion )
Rhonda SG I guess it might be easier for two virgins to decide to practice abstinence before marriage. But if you have one who's already sexually experienced, he/she might have preconceived 'expectations' and might get 'disappointed' with the performance of his / her spouse. I'm being very realistic here, cause not everything should be viewed through rose-tinted glasses and I've heard too many accounts of marriages hitting rough waters because of sexual incompatibilities.
Wanda SG Your mum's a good mum. She's concerned about you and she keeps the communication channels open.
stellazio SG thats the whole point. when my sis returned from the states, she went to ask her that. and i was like thinking, wah lao even if my sis did it, she won't tell u right?
Rhonda SG I remember before my bro married my sis-in-law, there was once he told them that they were going to Europe together. In front of him, mom and dad tried not to look shocked, and they just said, "Erm... orh!" Then when bro went out, dad said, "Har? Girlfriend nia going out together all the way to Europe?!" Mom : "Hanor!" Dad and mom exchanged knowing looks. Mom : "Son grown up liao, what to do? They can do whatever they want! Afterall, boys are alright, girls then lugi! Why you care?"
